Connected apps

Connect Google or Microsoft 365 to unlock mail, calendar and contact import.

Most of what makes Smoo AI feel like it knows your business comes through here. Until something is connected, mail and calendar tools have nothing to read.

Connections are per-organization by default — the "organization's connected account" is what contact import and calendar writes use, which may not be your personal one.

How to

    Choose a provider and complete the consent screen.

    Grant the scopes you actually want; a narrower grant means fewer tools work.

    Confirm the connection shows as active.

    Import contacts — preview first, then apply.

If something goes wrong

A connection asks you to reconnect straight after connecting.
Usually the API is disabled on the provider side rather than a bad grant. Check the specific API (Calendar, Gmail) is enabled for the project, not just that the account is linked.
Mail search finds less than you expect on Google.
Google searches only the mail synced into Smoo's CRM correspondence, not the whole mailbox. Microsoft 365 searches the live mailbox.
A drip sequence stops sending after reconnecting an account.
Re-select the sending account on the sequence. Reconnecting mints a new integration, and sequences point at the old one.
