See what Big Smooth has been doing, and what it cost
The Stats tab reads activity and spend straight off the daemon — conversations, messages and sessions, plus what you spent by model and by day.
Stats comes from the daemon on your Mac, not from Smoo. That means it is the real usage log the agent writes on every turn, and it also means it needs a direct connection: the relay brokers chat only.
How to
- 1
Select a direct connection in Settings, then open the Stats tab.
On the relay this tab says so rather than spinning — add a direct connection to your Mac to use it.
- 2
Read the Activity block for what has happened: conversations, messages, sessions (with how many are still live), and inbound vs outbound.
- 3
Read the Spend block for what it cost: total, turns, tokens, and the rollups by model and by day.
- 4
Pull down to refresh.
The numbers are a snapshot taken when the tab opened, not a live feed.
If something goes wrong
- "Stats need a direct connection."
- You are on the relay. Add a direct connection to that Mac under Settings → Direct and select it — this is a limitation of the relay, not of your daemon.
- "Couldn't load stats."
- The daemon did not answer. It is usually the token rather than the address — run "Test connection" on that target in Settings, which distinguishes the two.
- Everything reads zero.
- The counts are per machine, and they start at zero for a daemon you have not used yet. They fill in as you chat.
